Marcos González Blanco and Martin Abud won the men’s title at the FIP Silver Bali Island Sports, while Nerea Guerra and Carla Fernandez took the women’s crown. The tournament ran from 11 to 16 August 2026 at Island Sports Canggu, with €18,000 listed in total prize money.

González Blanco and Abud defeated Borja Trujillo Chang and Miguel Morales 6–1, 6–4 in the final. Guerra and Fernandez won their title match against Jimena Diaz and Alba Vazquez 6–1, 4–6, 6–0, completing a three-set contest with a decisive final set.

Another successful week for the men’s pair

FIP described the Bali result as González Blanco’s sixth title of 2026. He and Abud had to recover from a set down against Sergio Icardo and Jordi Casanova in the semi-final before reaching the championship match.

That route gave the eventual winners two different closing tasks. The semi-final required a response after losing the opening set; the final then asked them to complete another performance with the trophy directly available. The successful result depended on handling both stages.

A season with repeated titles can make winning appear routine from a distance, but each draw introduces new opposition and match situations. Previous results provide confidence and experience without removing the need for preparation in the current week.

For a partnership, continuity is useful when it becomes reliable decision-making. The players know how to cover one another, which patterns they trust and how to respond when an opponent disrupts their first plan. Those habits still have to work under the pressure of a close round. A shared response after a lost game can help prevent a temporary setback from becoming a longer sequence of disconnected decisions.

A women’s final that changes direction

Guerra and Fernandez’s final began with a 6–1 set, then turned when Diaz and Vazquez won the second 6–4. The deciding set returned the advantage emphatically to the eventual champions, who completed it without losing a game.

The sequence shows why one set cannot define an entire match. A strong start did not prevent the contest from becoming level, and the loss of the second set did not stop Guerra and Fernandez from producing the decisive response.

For the runners-up, reaching the final placed Diaz and Vazquez in the last match for the title. Their second-set win kept that opportunity open before the champions settled the result in the third. The full score captures both the challenge and the finish.

The women’s trophy also continued a successful year for Guerra and Fernandez, whom FIP described as winning their sixth title together in the season. Bali added another identifiable result to that partnership’s record.

Canggu in the regional calendar

Island Sports Canggu supplied the venue for the August Silver. The event’s current FIP record places it in August, providing a clear date reference for the completed tournament rather than a prospective September appearance.

For followers in Thailand, the field contained names familiar from other regional and Thai events. Icardo and Casanova had won in Samui earlier in the year, while several competitors continued to appear across the Asian schedule. Those connections allow the season to be followed through the players themselves.

Different destinations still produce separate competitions. A title in one place does not guarantee the next result, and a partnership’s route depends on the field it encounters. The calendar connects the journey; the draw creates the immediate task.

Bali’s August tournament left two clear championship stories. González Blanco and Abud turned a semi-final recovery into a straight-sets final win, while Guerra and Fernandez answered a lost second set with a 6–0 decider. The venue and Silver status supplied the setting, but the players’ responses across those closing rounds gave the event its sporting character and its place in the year’s results.
