Pablo Reina and Hector Vazquez won their first CUPRA FIP Tour title at the FIP Bronze GO PARK Hong Kong, defeating Julien Seurin and Thomas Vanbauce 6–4, 6–4 in the final. Patricia Araus and Cristina Carrascosa took the women’s trophy with a 6–3, 6–1 win over Carmen Azcoitia and Catherine Rose.

The tournament was listed for 17–22 March 2026 at GO PARK Sports in Sai Sha. Its closing matches gave both draws clear champions, while the earlier rounds supplied the recoveries that made those final appearances possible.

Reina and Vazquez lost their only set of the tournament in the semifinal against Menno Nolten and Max Bjorkman. They recovered to win 2–6, 7–5, 6–2. Araus and Carrascosa also had to come from behind during their run, beating Vilena Petrova and Vlada Kutuzova 3–6, 6–2, 6–4 in the quarterfinals.

The first title changes the reference point

A first international title gives a partnership a completed example of what it can achieve. Before that moment, the ambition may be supported by good matches or deep runs. Afterwards, there is a tournament in which the pair cleared every obstacle and won the final as well.

That makes the result meaningful without turning it into a prediction. Future draws will bring different opponents, and a trophy does not eliminate the work required to remain competitive. The value of the first win is that it provides experience of finishing the entire task, including the pressure of the last match.

For Reina and Vazquez, the semifinal comeback forms an essential part of that experience. Their route did not depend on avoiding difficulty altogether. It included a match in which the opening set went decisively against them and the second remained close to the finish.

Two recoveries behind two trophies

The women’s champions faced their own early deficit in the quarterfinal. Recovering over three sets kept Araus and Carrascosa in the tournament; the later final gave them the opportunity to turn that survival into a title.

It is tempting to judge a winning run only by its most comfortable score. Hong Kong offers a reason to look further back. Both champion partnerships had an encounter that required them to change the direction of the match after losing the first set.

The available results do not identify every adjustment they made. They do establish that a poor opening set did not become the end of either campaign. For club pairs, that is a useful competitive idea: the first set supplies information about the problem, but it does not determine whether the pair can still solve it.

A regional stage for familiar names

GO PARK’s March event also connected players whose names recur around the Asian calendar. Following those partnerships over several tournaments gives supporters a better sense of the standard than an isolated result can provide.

For Thai competitors, that continuity is practical. A player thinking about international competition can observe the kinds of pairs reaching later rounds, the frequency of close matches and the different routes into a final. The regional circuit becomes a series of specific challenges rather than a distant label.

The same principle applies to preparation at home. A pair is more likely to benefit from competition when it knows which situations it wants to handle better. That might be responding to a fast start from the opponents, protecting a narrow lead or continuing to communicate after a difficult set.

Hong Kong’s winners supplied examples of those challenges at a demanding level. Reina and Vazquez combined a semifinal recovery with a straight-set final to secure a career milestone. Araus and Carrascosa negotiated their own three-set obstacle before finishing the women’s draw convincingly.

Those are the outcomes that give the March tournament its identity: two partnerships converting resilience earlier in the draw into titles at the finish, with a first CUPRA FIP Tour triumph providing the men’s competition with an especially memorable ending.
